Hello! I am Warda Essa, a 17 year old girl with a dream to change the world of fashion through modesty! When I first saw my first fashion show at the age of 11, I knew this was something I wanted to do for the rest of my life. But then as I browsed through magazines I saw the same pattern within all the designs. They were revealing, short and uncomfortable! Not every women in the face of earth wants to wear that! I always wanted to make some sort of change in my life and thought this world does needs to see the other side of fashion. The other world that no one so far had what it took to start! I want to become the first or second (it does'nt matter) muslim women to showcase at NYC fashion week! Yes, I know its not going to be easy and that perhaps a very few people made it there. But you know what? I am determined, I am determined to show the world that fashion is anythng that respects your body. I want people to say ,"Beautiful" to all the women who wear my clothes not "sexy". I want their perspective on life to change.
I want to teach women most importantly that being you is better than trying to be a celebrity! I want women to be happy with what they wear, and start showing the other side they have within them. Lastly, as coco chanel said, "In order to be irrepacable, one must always be different" That's what this fashion Industry needs DIFFERENCE!
